Even with the availability of all the fancy communication gizmos of our modern age, the good people of Pugwash, NS still rely on the traditional bulletin board to share information.

Whether selling a car, announcing a concert or informing the public about a newly arrived shipment of bagels from Montreal (see August 20), you'll learn about it first from the bulletin board.

There are several bulletin boards placed around the village: at the Co-op, the hardware store and the post office. The content evolves over time, new notes going up, old ones coming down. You never know what you'll find.

The most interesting posts are the ones that leave you scratching your head, trying to figure out the back story.
