As someone who has been reading your blog for quite sometime (as you probably know from your site meter), I'm wondering why you always only mention the good things that happen to you. Yet, from what I can conduce from what you've written, there's been job loss, financial problems, concilation to joining the 9-to-5 world, and yet nothing has been mentioned about this. Why?

There are several reasons why I limit what I post to positive topics:

1. Generally life is pretty good, and I'd rather write about the positive things in life than the negative. Facing job loss (actually, as a freelancer, I face an occasional lack of opportunities), working 9-5 and being broke are things we all deal with. Why in the world would you want to hear about that? B-O-R-I-N-G!

2. I don't have the time to wax on about things I find uninteresting. I'd like to post a lot more cool stuff but after writing all day at work, I find it hard to write in my spare time -- the novel in November notwithstanding.

3. There have been struggles and dark days, but in my experience they always lead to great things: hence the positive content on Roadspill. You've got to kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight (Bruce Cockburn).

4. It's my blog and I'm the chief editor. :)

Hopefully that answers your question.
