I didn't follow the link to see the local commercials in the archived newscasts, but my favourite (perhaps soon to be yours) is the public service announcement they have here urging Ghanaians to sign up for national identity cards.
It's got a choir or Ghanaians in traditional dress, standing in front of a map of Ghana, musically extolling the virtues of the identity-card system with this rousing chorus:
Our nation calls for duty now, All for one and one for all! The time is now or never, friends! We are called to get involved!
I tried to catch it on my camera phone and upload it to YouTube, but the quality was terrible.
Unbelievably, though, someone else had the very same idea.
